Question

Ceramic tiles over old flooring???

Is it acceptable to install ceramic tiles right over these old tiles? I'm not sure what type they are but I'm sure they are as old as the house is(1953) AND they are really stuck down there well!!!

If I can re-tile over them what would be the best way to prep the old ones so the thin-set takes ahold?

If I have to remove them what's the best way to do that?

Thanks.

You need to test for asbestos before removing them tiles. But they should come up pretty easy. You realy dont want to tile over them.good luck.
