Ceramic tile over very old linoleum?

I have an old kitchen that needs a new floor. The original floor is hard wood atop boards. Atop the hardwood are two layers or very old linoleum - asbestos ridden, for sure. Can I install ceramic tile over this old tile? If so, what kind of subfloor do I need to lay over the linoleum?

You need to remove the vinyl AND the hardwood down to the original sub floor, then build it up correctly for tile from there.
