Ceramic Tile Dilemma

Well, it took me a long time to get this wrapped up, but it is done and turned out great! I contacted Leinweber Co, and they were some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. I got a message back from the president of the company, and she said that they didn't have anyone in my area that sells their products yet, but her husband was the foreman of a hotel construction site just a couple of miles from my house. She sent him with a bunch of the Jif-Set and Liquid Latex and had me meet him at the site to pick it up! I couldn't believe the customer service.

As for the job itself, everything went great. The product went down easily and smoothly. My main concern (as is probably the case with any natural skeptic such as myself) was how well it would stick to the old tiles. Let me just say, it sticks. At one point I dropped a glob of it on the floor and it dried. I went to kick it off the next day, and I couldn't. I had to grab a hammer to knock it free, and it actually pulled off a piece of the tile with it. As for the longevity, we will have to wait and see. So far, I am feeling pretty good about the whole job. Thanks for the recommendation! Here is a pic of the floor after the Jif-Set went down, and one of the completed tiles. They are 12x12 Daltile porcelain. (As for the design, this is in a frat house in Hawkeye country.)

Ceramic Tile Dilemma

I don't know about your local one but usually if it is something carried by other stores they will do a store to store ship for you. I would talk to some one in flooring at your local store.
