Ceramic Tile clean up & reuse

I need to reuse some ceramic tile that was originally laid with Portland Cement thin-set. How do I clean up these tiles to reuse? Is there a solvent of some sort that will dissolve the thin-set but not harm the ceramic tile? I could soak them in a solution that would clean them up for reuse?

Angle grinder with a wire wheel--or a diamond cup would be fastest---table belt sander might work--

I think you will have to experiment---Angle grinders are cheap and handy to have around the house--
