cast iron radiators on laminate floor

I have several radiators that will be re-installed in a couple rooms. They were removed during remodel. New laminate flooring was installed on entire floor. I know that they cannot sit on the laminate as they weigh roughly 400 lbs each. I was thinking that I could use a small hole saw and drill thru laminate where each of the four feet on a radiator sit so that nothing is b bearing on laminate. I have covers for the radiators that would hide the feet. Any thoughts?
