That may vary according to area. According to a local real estate agent, upgades may make it easier to sell but you don't usually recover all the cost of an upgrade when you sell. Most here suggest that you give a flooring allowance so that the prospective buyer can choose what THEY want. Many times they don't like what the seller likes.
