Carpet Water Damage

If someone had some minor flooding - and I know a lot of people who just did - Is it enough to use a shop vac to remove all possible water, and use a fan ?

All my research states to pull up the carpeting to dry the padding properly (or replace the padding).

Eight inches of rain !!

Wetvac will not be enough, you need good air circulation between the layers to properly dry out, not doing so will be asking for mold to grow.

I may not understand what your asking here.

You got it Ron -

They pulled up the rug, and are replacing the padding.
