Can you score and snap Travertine

Hey guys and gals I am getting ready to install my 20" square travertine tiles and i was wondering if you can snap and score the tiles. I have a pretty nice cutter that will accept the tiles but since the tiles are so dang expensive I do not want to practice before hand unless I absolutely have to. The tile is semi porous but certainly nothing too rough. It is not as smooth as ceramic or porcelain. Thanks for you help.

Yep! been there, tried that

If its only for the one job, I noticed HD is selling them here for $54 CDN Probably need to buy another blade though. Still cheaper than renting

Okay well I have a 7" wet saw anyway. Just a small portable one but that would probably do the trick just ffiine I guess. Scoring and snapping is quick and easy and clean but if I don't have a choice than so be it. Thanks guys.
