Can you lay tile in phases?

I'm thinking as long as I were to clean up the edge of the installed tile of any thinset this wont be a problem correct? I'm pretty busy this weekend but really wanted to get started on the tiling phase of my kitchen. I was thinking about doing one bag of thinset worth of tile at a time.

That is adding a lot of extra work--but ,yes you can--

Just remember to clean out the squeeze up between the tiles after 12 hours of applying.

If you wait until next week the thinset will so hard you will be sorry---
