Bostitch MIIIFS Pneumatic Hardwood stapler

Does one need anything special on this tool to install 3/4 inc hardwood prefinished flooring? I see on the internet they show a special base so it won't mess up the pre-finished floor. Thanks

I've got the special base for my Power nail and I love it. It keeps it from falling over and it lets it slide across the floor easily and not damage the wood. It also offers a broader surface for the nailer to contact the front of the flooring so you don't mess it up either. It's worth it in my opinion.
