blacktop over concrete

is it possible to put blacktop over concrete and have it last. I saw it done one time , in about 2 monthes ,all the blacktop cracked and came apart from the concrete as if it was there 10 yrs. It had to be ripped offf eventually. If possible , how is it done so it sticks

its better to go ahead and bust up the concrete so you will know the blacktop will have good surface to set too

but if you want blacktop on top of the concrete, this might not saying it will but might you could use tack oil its really sticky and u spray it on before you pave over it but the best decision would to bust it all up

A paver can apply an underlayment that will greatly reduce the extent to which concrete flaws will show through the asphalt. Talk to a local paver.
