Black mold?

Hello! While cleaning my office i moved a chair to vacuum underneath it, I noticed the carpet which is a Tan / Brown had a gray hue to it where the chair had been sitting. I pulled back a bit of the carpet and padding from the corner and noticed the subfloor was black and felt gummy.. all most like a tar.. would this be black mold?

Black mold?

If it gets wet then it certainly could be mold. I've had to deal with mold before, actually today but it's not gummy more fuzzy. But what about the carpet pad, is it black and just deteriorating?
Good luck
