Staining concrete is always a gamble. If it is acid stain you should have been told by someone up front or read that you take what you get when staining concrete. That is in fact the beauty of staining concrete, you never know for sure what the results will be. Components in the concrete and the texture of the concrete surface determines the results and final appearance.
thanks, somebody had told me that moisture coming up affects different color stains differently. another person told me that freshly poured concrete has more moisture so the lighter stains cure with more black? i dont know. i am pleased with how it came out though, just wondering.
