Hello every one here are some pics of my pine flooring i was hoping for some good tips on how to refinish these floors it would be my first time refinishing wood flooring there are some repairs that were done previously and there are some issues with nails from what i can tell there is no subfloor as they were installed over the floor joist and they are tongue and groove .
The wood in the 1st pic is water stained. These stains will most likely not come out. If you can you need to find out how thick this floor still is. 100 years ago they were probably 1 inch thick. If you still have enough wood above the tongue you can refinish the floors. You will need to sink the nails atleast 3/8 inch below the surface. Do not fill the holes until you sand the floor level. Fill them and sand again.
