Best flooring for a workshop?

We're building a new house and I'm wondering what to use on the floor of the workshop. I don't really want to leave it bare concrete. I do plan on doing a fair bit of work in it, possibly including a little bit of welding and the likely grinding that goes along with it. So I'm wondering what flooring types would be 'least problematic'?

Least problematic? Concrete. You can coat it with epoxy or paint it, if you're really adamant about the interior decorating of your shop.

It's not so much about "decorating" as it is finding something decently durable. The shop has the only entrance to the basement and while I don't plan on letting it be used for other traffic, I'd prefer if the floor looked reasonably decent.

I can tell you the worst thing to do; indoor outdoor carpet. Had that in my old shop and it was idiotic.
My new shop is bare concrete and I plan on putting down self adhesive vinyl tiles one of these days.

I have Allure floating floor in my shop/garage/mancave. But I don't weld on it. Looks great and stands up to my needs.

I would consider epoxied concrete.
