best flooring if foundation moves

I live in an area where the soil is clay and most homes experience significant movement. Most of the home is on an engineered slab, with a 1970s addition on a simple slab. This part of the house moves more than the rest. The carpet in the hallway and family room needs to be replaced. We would prefer wood/laminate or bamboo flooring. Which is the best given the foundation movement ? Durability and adding value to the home is also important.

Well in a perfect world you would fix the movement problem.That being said use a engineered or laminate floating floor .
