bedroom over garage, new laminate flooring

Hello,
I will install laminate flooring (12mm from Lumber Liquidators) on the whole 2nd floor of my house
My daughter's bedroom is over the garage, and I noticed it was colder than the other rooms
I was thinking to put a first layer of radiant barrier (http://www.lowes.com/pd_219377-56291...cagpspn=pla%22) over the plywood, and on top of it this (http://www.homasote.com/products/440-Soundbarrier.aspx) available at Home Depot. That sound barrier is very rigid and won't interfere with the attached padding of the laminate
What do you think?

Are you looking for advise on the design or how to make it a warmer room?

I would say say both....
1) Is it technically "viable"?
2) Will the Reflectix material help to get a warmer room...?

Should it be:
*) Plywood / Reflectix / Homasote / Laminate
or
*) Plywood / Homasote /Reflectix / Laminate

Cork underlatmant would also work.
The better way would be to air seal and insulate the room below.

Insulating only slows the process down. It won't stop the room from gettiong cold if you're not putting enough heat in to keep up with the loss. What type of heating source do you have in that room?

Since you've purchased the 12mm laminate flooring from LL, why not look into the eco silent, and Bella Premium underlayments they offer. Both of them act as sound, and moisture barriers, plus offer an R value to warm the floors.

If you have not purchased the laminate, look at wood engineered flooring before you do anything else.

You do know that any hard flooring will still feel cold on bare feet, right?

Yes, but if the room underneath is cold (garage), the radiant barrier should help, right? At least, it will not hurt........!!!
