Lino is not really DIY, like vinyl.

linoleum is supposed to last for decades with low maintenance. Since its a natural product you wouldn't use harsh chemicals on it. It comes in squares like real tile or vinyl. It can be pricey. Someone else can tell you about install if thats the choice you're going with.

Curious though, is there a reason you may choose it over ceramic besides the fact that its softer and warmer on the feet. Just wondering

is there a bunch of cuts and angles? I am putting fiberglass infused padded vinyl in the basement bathroom I am building right now. Maybe you could use the old stuff as a template? I bought Mannington Sobella stuff. http://www.mannington.com/Residential/Sobella.aspx

To answer your question, no there are not any angles basic rectangular room, and I thought the same thing about using the present vinyl as a template as the present flooring is not glued down.
