Turn off water to toilet. Remove toilet. Remove floor covering. Remove rotted section of flooring back to a floor joist. Install blocking between joist where new and old subfloor will meet to support new and old subfloor. Replace subfloor being sure to glue and nail or screw about every 8 inches. Replace floor covering. Remount toilet. Turn water back on. Use when necessary.

Hope this helps, Dave.
