Backsplash

Hi, I'm currently renovating my Kitchen, i am currently now at the back splash stage. Please, if this is in the wrong section, mods feel free to move it to the proper location.

I currently have enough tiles to do the whole back wall, and i'm currently uncertain from then on. Do i follow the wall, coming back towards the center of kitchen. I would need those metal strips. But won't it look funny having tile edge on an outside corner. If anyone has a better idea please feel free to share.
I have attached a picture for reference. Basically, i have the oven in the corner. So I'm wondering what to do. The idea i have is draw-ed with the yellow line.
Thanks

Looks like a tight fit, are you 100% sure you can even get tile and thin set on that wall and still get the stove out?
May have to go with something like a piece of stainless steel. Not a safe place to have install a stove.

Hey Jo, thanks for the reply.
there is plenty of space, the picture was scaled down before posting on the forum. I was thinking of installing some sort of fake brink as a backsplash and there was enough space during the fitting. There is 2-3 inches on the side of the wall.

I too think it's an awkward location of a range, but that's where it is and so be it.

Continue the tiles to the marked area, but go down to the floor, or the base molding at least. I don't recommend fake brick or anything rough in texture. Many tiles have matching bullnose caps to finish the top and ends of the tiles.

Thanks, that's great advise. I have 1X1 glass tiles and that seems like a great idea to run them down to the floor.

I originally had plans for brick / stone veneer, but as this is my rental property i went ahead with something more practical and with less maintenance.
