Is this stuff expensive, my wife wants to put down their 12" tiles, then grout them , this is the part that scares me, what does grouting of these tile consist of. $2000.00 isn't a figure i can live with to do this smaller kitchen.Whos the one to get to do it???
If you are refering to Alterna. It is installed easily if you follow the guide lines layed out by Armstrong. The tile size is not 12 x 12 it is 16 x 16. The grout is easy to put in. Just follow instuction.
This stuff is another clone of the originals. DuraCeramic and PermaStone have both been out for ages now. Armstrong just jumped on the bandwagon with this stuff. I hold the same opinion of most of these products. They are way over priced for what you are getting. You can get a much better product in a solid vinyl tile for less money. Only these types can be grouted though. From what I've seen, PermaStone generally has a better price point than the others if you want the groutable vinyl tile. These aren't bad products, they just cost more than they are worth to me.
