Any advice on engineered hardwood floor?

I am looking at installing an engineered hardwood floor in my home. We like the Jatoba series made by Thomasville. The product is sold by Home Depot. It would be installed floating over concrete using the recommended padding underneath. Do you have any advice or knowledge of problems with this companyís products?

I just installed this and didn't have any problems. It will get darker when exposed to sun. Instead of using the spacers that you can buy, I just bought some of the 1/2" X 1 X 2' boards and cut them. If you're using the 3 in 1 red stuff from home depot, I'd pick up some tape to.

I will be using the red foam as a vapor barrier/cushion so thanks for the advice.

It's fine; just be aware that B/Cherry does darken quite a bit as it ages. Also, the product has a real smooth finish so make the kids/dogs wear booties to prevent scratches!

Wood Floor Guy is right. I got mine for half price and I wasn't ready to install. I let it sit in the box. The top box had a plastic window in the box so you could see the wood. It was exposed to the sun and the top boards got darker where the window pane was. Guess I should have flipped the top box.
