I am installing a floating floor at an odd angle to my stairs, But i dont know how to install the top stair, I will be transitioning to carpet stairs after the top step.
Do cut the sub floor off (the bullnose part)? Do i leave it?
What type of piece do I get to attach it?
What are my options?
Have I done something stupid
note i have since the picture installed the floor just past the existing bullnose subfloor.
The right way to do this would have been to set the bullnose and then lay the flooring off of it. Now, as the other guy mentioned you will need to cut back your flooring and install the bullnose. You do not need to cut out the subfloor their. The manufacturer of the flooring you bought will offer these pre made pieces. Hope this helps.
