allure ultra


we pulled carpet up and only have plywood underneath. can we lay our allure ultra over this plywood only?

Depends. Is it CDX plywood full of knot holes and gaps between the sheets?
As long as it's flat and no flaws it will be fine.
Any flaws will in time show through the floor.
May want to do a key word search on this site about that type flooring.
There well over 600 comments.

Sanded doesn't have knotholes and voids aren't Seen by eye.

Sanded does have patched knotholes which aren't always smooth. And what difference does it make if you can't see the voids, they can still collapse.
