Allure Flooring over vinyl?

I'm considering installing Allure flooring. Can this be installed over sheet vinyl and floors that aren't perfectly level?

Allure Flooring over vinyl?

Allure produces as glue-down as floating vinyl floor.

If you plan to go with glue down product, you will see most of the imperfections.
In case if you have floating floor, you can eliminate imperfections by installing foam underlayment. If you have major difference in level you can install several layers of foam in some spot in order to bring it to appropriate level. Floating vinyl floor installation will be the best solution for you.

Mentioned advises can't be considered as correct and right way out of the situation. The best way will be to install 1/2+ plywood and sand the corners for perfect result.

Allure Flooring over vinyl?

Not sure where that info came from.
Allure is not glued down to the floor.
What's the texture of the old floor?
Any flaws or embossing in the floor below will mirror through the new floor.
Are the floors really out of level, or not flat. A big difference.

Allure Flooring over vinyl?

I installed allure in my kitchen, hallway and front enter acne (all connected) in May 2012. Used the chocolate tile style and LOVE it.

My front entrance and kitchen had vinyl, while the hall between them was carpet. We removed the carpet and scraped down the glue. Vacuumed everything and installed the allure. Absolutely NO issues.

Coming from my hall into the kitchen, I have... What I will call a hump in the floor. My house is over a hundred years old, and I was not willing to start replacing plywood for that hump. There were no soft spots or anything so we left as it was.

This flooring laid right over and looks amazing.

My only issue was getting used to the leather finish after 10 years of a shiny waxed floor ...didn't take long though.

I am installing more allure tomorrow for a co worker...in the kitchen and bathroom of a little house she just bought. She is going to love it!
