Advice on Installing Interlocking Vinyl Tile

We have read the instructions and watched the video and are not finding to easy to actually lock the Mannington Adura LockSolid tiles together. Our builder did manage to get the floor in our new entry mostly done and it looks great. He struggled with it, however. My husband and I would like to do some other floors ourselves. Any tips for us? Really appreciate any help.

What's he having so much trouble with?
What's he using for tools to install it?

Advice on Installing Interlocking Vinyl Tile

You aren't supposed to use any tools (except to cut edges), right? I guess mainly the issue is once you get the side of the tile attached to the adjacent one, it is kind of hard to get it attached to the adjoining tile in the previous row. Not impossible, just hard. I was just wondering if there are any tricks. The video says to hold the tile at an angle. Thanks for your advice.

I see no way your going to pull them together without one of these.

One person should be able to do a 12' X 12' room in about 1/2 a day.

Mannington doesn't show the use of any tools in its video for the Adura Locksolid vinyl tiles. It just shows the guy hooking the tiles together. I'm confused.

Those products never go together as easily as the videos show.
