Advice - Electric Radiant Floor !

I'm looking to install electric radiant heating wires in our rehabbed bathroom and would like to have a 7-day programmable control. Iíve priced the 7 day controls at about $150 on Houseneeds.com and was looking to see if it is possible to use a programmable HVAC temperature control instead? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Advice - Electric Radiant Floor !

Typical HVAC thermostats don't control line voltage directy. You'd need a separate contactor to make it work. In addition, these thermostats adjust based on the air temperature.

A thermostat specifically for electric radiant has a probe which adjusts based on the floor temperature. Also includes the required GFCI protection.
