adding 2nd layer 5/8 t&g to stregthen floor

We are in kitchener ontario canada in townhouse/condo inner unit

tired of squeeky floors and bouncy china , we went about sistering a 2x6 to every floor joist (glued and screwed )

I have taken out old hardwood in living room
and old underlay-tile-vinyl-vinyl - in kitchen ,
and every sheet had a 1/8" gap or better

Then screwed down original subfloor ( 5/8 butt jointed plywood ) to every joist

(did the landing 36"x36" at front door with stairs heading up-last year--down to original subfloor and glued-screwed both to the joists and found it to be like a rock solid)
and resiliant flooring (sample from work-liked it so much we re doing kitchen the same)

so as i tried researching on putting a 2nd layer of 5/8 t&g - but most are considering this to be the underlyment layer,
My plan is to make this just thicker sub-floor -to beef up floor structure----- so after too many hdtv shows and dyi forums
- conflicting theories on attaching second layer
(sorry for long winded intro to question
- to glue or not
-to screw into joist or just in between or both

--livingroom is getting underpad and carpet
--kitchen is getting 1/4" underlayment (sureply) - this i know not to glue and screw , just staple -----then resiliant flooring

am i on track---or totally de-railed
thanks for all advises

I don't have an answer for you but that seems like a ton of work for floor squeeks..
