6 3/4" hardwood install

I am having wide plank pine installed on 3/4" advantec sub floor, on crawl space in South Carolina (I mention local for humidity) The manufacturers instructions call for Bostik's Best adhesive INSTEAD of felt paper. (in addition to nailing) Does this sound right? Thanks...

Always install per manufactures instructions. They suggest that for a reason and I would rather not find out why that is. The only thing that seems odd to me is them suggesting both. Gluing is typically for thinner flooring and nailing is for thicker flooring. But like I said, install per recommendations.

would using felt plus Bostiks best be even better for moisture barrier? Also, I was thinking of face nailing with cut nails, would this eliminate the need for Bostiks? and if i waited to nail till later down the road, would that be ok after gluing?

Generally anything 5" and over is nailed and glued. Follow the manufacturer's directions. Felt paper will prevent a good adhesive bond.
