I am in the process of putting down 3/8 brazillian cherry flooring in my house. In the past I have always run it opposite of the floor joist. I have floor joist 3/4 OSB board. My question is can you run it with the joist? I know you would only be nailing into the OSB and I am wondering if this is a bad idea? Would like to have your opinion guys. Thanks, worker 903.
installation is supposed to be perpendicular to the floor joists far added support when you have heavy pieces of furniture(at least that's one of the reasons). also, running it accross the joists, allows you to nail each and every board to the joists(through the subfloor) for added durability of your flooring. What method are you gonna use for installation? (nail/staple or glue)?
