1920 house with t&g floor and no subfloor.

Ok just stay with me im a new guy! I need to go through the whole house and make all the floors the same level because there all goofy. the current floors are hardwood that are nailed directly to the joist. My question is, do i have to tear up the floor to do new laminate floors or can i just use ferring strips to level the whole house then start putting down plywood. Also i am by no stretch of the imagination a carpenter. im using common sense, books and my trusty family knowledge to help me redo this house.Im in Ohio were the weather gets all crazy, bad winters and humid hot summers. just to add some pics of my project.http://s1012.photobucket.com/albums/...use%20project/
