1/4 round mouldings
Hey there,
I am trying to figure out how to cut 1/4 round mouldings to lay on the edge of a floating floor. I have a circular saw and I'm not that fmiliar with it but if I can get the right instructions I hope I'll be just fine. I've never done this before but I'm thinking it can't be that hard. Can someone please help me out. |
The 2 flat surfaces should be the same on the 1/4 rounds. Cutting them with a circular saw might be a little bit tricky. You'd be better off using a compound mitre, or even hand cutting them in a cheapy mitre box.

As stated: Use a compound saw. Don't try to to it with a circular saw, you will regret it.
Find a friend with a compound saw and borrow it, or rent one, or buy an inexpensive one....whatever you do, use a compund saw.... |
Come on guys. Compound miter saws? All he wants to do is cut a few pieces of quarter round. It would be cheaper to pay someone to do it than to buy a compound miter saw, which he obviously doesn't own or he would not be thinking about doing it with his circular saw.
Less than $30 should get him a basic miter box and back saw that will suffice for a room of quarter round. |
