The "SWORD in the.............HEADSTONE!"
Guessing it needs to be wiggled and pulled at a specific angle due to some grooves that stop it, sorta like a key. Hard to tell without having it in hand though, I would love to try it, those tricks are always fun. My grandpa had these horseshoes that were bended and could come appart but it was hard to get them appart until you get the trick. It makes no sense but once you get it, it clicks and it makes perfect sense. Can't be easy to think of these.

the sword is solid ebony, smooth with no grooves.... good guess though!
i always loved it when mom bought me those little wooden puzzles.... i got them all apart easily...... ........ getting them back together again?.... well, let's not go there.... lol DM
