some DM creations and projects
here are a few things i've done recently, a 'sundoor' and cabinet for my wife's electro-acuscope to roll around and charge up, (because she is the sunshine in my life) an old sears silvertone i refinished and airbrush (binks) stained some leaves to pretty it up. (ignore broken 'B' string) and 2 of the 4 lamps i made a few weeks ago, just because i was bored waiting for supplies on back order. hope you like them and feel free to copy the designs if you like them! the lamps are made from scraps of firewood, cherry, oak and walnut from my woods. the cherry mix has a 10w nitelite on the bottom on a separate switch. =o) *enjoy!*
any comments, suggestions or questions are appreciated!
DM
PS-will post the walnut/oak floor lamp and the old style desk lamp soon. (only 6 pics at a time here)

Very nice work there mouse. You're certainly creative, and I'm jealous. I'm a capable woodworker and cabinetmaker, but lack the creativity!

thanks guys! here's two more lamps i did. got tired of the cheap floor lamps that break whenever you look at them, soooo.... and the table lamp is different now. it's white on top when off, but GREEN when turned on. kinda cool.... both are oak and walnut mixed from my woods. gotta love free supplies! =o) (sorry it took so long.... i'm an airhead sometimes) did someone mention cheese dip?

forgot to mention, those 7 degree cuts for the floor lamp 'shade' were a BYTCH! i had 4 or 5 pieces i cut backwards, inside out, whatever.... grrrrr finally got it perfect though! those are cloth curtain inserts btw. i still think i'll change to the white plexi inserts though, the bulb shows through the cloth a bit too much.

I really like your work. Do you sell any of your lamps? What color is your finger nail polish? Keep up the good work, Dorf Dude...

Beautiful! I've seen pieces in high-end furniture stores that don't show that quality of workmanship .
That sundoor is incredible! Looking at it, I was trying to figure out how you did the rays of sunshine. Since I don't know very much about woodworking, of course I can't figure it out. The finish on the wood looks great. It must have taken a lot of time to complete it.

for the rays of the sundoor, i sliced up a 2x4 into 1/2" strips and then went nuts freehand with the router.

thank you!
the first pic of it was before i took the white plexi and spray-painted the underside with flourescent green.
it's white still when off, cause it's thick, but green when on. i always liked the green glass desk lamps, so this was my tribute.
