It's a good day for a laugh! Heck, ANY day is a good day for a laugh to me!
MINE ain't been so hot toDAY... I NEED a good laugh!
'cause...... I dropped the two panes of fancy glass for the small bathroom transom...
broke to bits.... nicked me right hand a couple times on the way down too.....
then I was relocating the door jamb to line up right for the trim and wrap, and the head of the cheap@$$ screw broke, the drill bit nicked my OTHER thumb, so I think I'll just take a break for a while....
.....at least until I stop bleeding lol

Isn't that the glass that you got several sheets of before? So, do you have a replacement?

You and Jules should get together - both of you chopping yourselves up like that. Please let us know that you're OK. Don't like to hear of anyone getting hurt.

I'm a big boy, just a couple nicks.... luckily, I DID have two last short ones to (CAREFULLY) replace them.

I ripped and routed the walnut for the baseboards yesterday and they're all in now. Once I do the door wrap, that room is done! Woohoo!

On to the next one....

Thank goodness you have the extra glass.

Remember when I busted the pane of that art glass that went in our living room wall...it was a trip all the way over to Coombs to buy the last one they had left. I've been pretty damn careful ever since.

Why didn't someone tell me about this thread? I'm always the last to find out.

DM, that's one fancy schmancy t.p. holder. I know what you mean about being the only one to replenish the supply.

I'm thinking of gathering the family and holding an informal class called Bathrooms - Do Your Part. For those who do not practice their newly learned skills, there will be a refresher course.

Some of the lessons will include:
-Replacing the roll of t.p.
-Why it's inconsiderate to leave the last square hanging on the cardboard so the next person has to replace it.
-How to put the lid back on the toothpaste.
-How to pick your clothes and wet towel up off the floor.
-Replacing the bar of soap - it's easier than you think!
-There's a reason why it's called a towel bar.
-Techniques for turning the fan on.
-Keep the bathroom pretty - put your makeup away.

Barb

(I'm making a copy of the lesson plan right now. She should get it in the mail in 3-5 business days.)

Hmmm, I'm still trying to decide how to finish the 3/4" rod on the TP holder. I asked for ideas in post #7, doesn't ANYone have a cool idea? Other than that, the half bath is complete! Maybe I'll post another thread and start a poll?
