The deck I built


Two summers ago I built this deck with the help of my wife.
I don't have pictures that show everything we did because we didn't take any the first weekend we worked on it.

It was some work but it turned out great. Our next door neighbor liked it so much that he built one for his house and used our measurements for his

What did you use to support the deck? Is that just a beam perpendicular to the joists lying in crushed stone? Maybe I just cant see the piers?

You can't see the piers in the picture. There are 6 piers 4 feet deep. 3 piers for each beam.
