just an update... the new sword turned out nicely i thought.

i spun the carriage bolts on my drill against a flat bastard file to grind away the letters and numbers, then fine sandpaper, then fine steel wool to polish the heads. locked straight through the box! the sword and black trim is ebony, recycled from the local guitar factory. (formerly Gibson Guitars)
the sword is 5/8" and the trim is 1/4" .
still playing with lots of ideas.... i have so much fun doing these things in between building.

here's a few update pictures, i have both locks working now, and am fine tuning the lights inside. i plan on white light, black light, multi-colored changing fibre optics and multi-colored LED bulbs, together or independent.
no push buttons though, all switches are to be concealed in the hardware, making discovery fun!
this could take a week or two.....
the 9v battery is in the box on the back.

Would love to have one, but broke flatter than pee on a platter since Christmas & many birthdays in the month of Dec. Hopefully, in the future. Went to craft forum & for some reason was unable to see pics of snake in the glass. Checkt out your album; great stuff! I, too am an artist of sorts; must create a website some day, so I can share my 'stuff'. Keep up the marvelous work.

Hey DM, I just watched the rising card trick. The dog is a shill. He lied, it wasn't the right card



and I'm working on those drives. Just spent 3 hours digging me and my bro that lives down the street out. We got about a foot of snow the other night.

Wow, I'm really lagging behind on my magic stuff.... MAYBE I can find time to finish the Treasure Chest this winter???? Both locks are done, it's just the darn wiring/lighting/mirrors/decorating inside now.... and I have 2 more boxes, (different designs) half assembled too!!! I hate me sometimes.
