Basement Bathroom Remodel

I was just looking over some photos of our downstairs bathroom remodel. Thought I would share them and see what everyone thinks. Our basement bathroom was gross and outdated with carpet and a bad smell included. It flooded a bit and we decided it was a perfect time to fix it up. We had some excitement as this was our first time soldering copper pipe. Good times. It was also about a month after our honeymoon. I would not recommend that to anyone.

Demo

The bottom of the drywall was bad so we put in some scrap pieces that we had lying around. We eventually had to take out more than this.

We had some moldy drywall in this area

Those old glass mirrors are a pain to get off the wall - it broke into a million pieces.

Couldn't figure out how to get the shower pan out - pretty sure it was cemented in place. We had to figure out something else to do.

Basement Bathroom Remodel

Flinging Poo - We decided to texture the walls by throwing it all over the place. It was fun and a really good workout. My wife and I were sore for days.

Painting

Soldering - It took three times before it worked correctly. We were heating the wire and not the pipe and it wasn't sealing correctly. Live and learn. I can't remember if this was the final product or not.

Dry run

The shower

We decided to epoxy paint the base. It turned out pretty good.
