Baseboard Covers

We have an early 1900's Arts & Crafts style bungalow that had a lot of nice touches to it before we bought it, but one thing that always stuck out like a sore thumb were the hideous baseboards for the heat. Some were rusted, some were missing endcaps or bent, but in general even if they were in good shape they really stuck out against the more natural wood look of the house.

So I did some research and am starting to replace them. I'm making sure to keep the gaps for airflow correct. But in the one section I've done so far, I think it looks 1000x better.

Before and after pics attached.

Thanks! It was my first real time working with a router for cutting the little inlay into the front and the edge onto the top piece. Very happy with the way it came out.
