Woods Refrigerator - Water Leak Solved

I thought I'd post this here as I had to go outside the forum to get the information - not cool at all considering this is "the" forum for all things home related.

My 6 year old woods refrigerator (all-refrigerator, no freezer section) began leaking water which was pooling below the veggie bins. Not good at all. After a couple of years it began to stain my carpet ( O my new wife so loves the carpet in our kitchen ).

So anyway, I took out the bins, the shelf above them, then the middle shelf. Four screws on a porcelain metal plate at the back of the box. Used a relatively stiff stranded wire to plumb out the drain found at the bottom of the "V" formed by the evaporater coil. Big wad of gunk was found, it immediately drained.

Happy camper here. Want whomever needs this advice to get it - so thus I posted my success here. (basks in glow of happy appliance)
