I have a 10 year old Whirlpool side-by-side (Ed22twxdw02) in perfect cond other than a few days ago it kinda slowed down making ice. Seems to fill the tray with water easily, and temp seems to be good (ice cream is hard), but only puts out 1-2 trays (6 cubes in a tray) per 24 hr period. Any suggestions? I don't want to replace the ice maker ($150), and still have the problem. thx
Hey, thanks. I bought oem one off ebay for $70. It's back up to speed making ice, but they do seem a little hollow. I'm gonna replace my external filter. I'm not sure if it has a internal filter, but if so, it's never been changed.
Hollow cubes mean low water flow.If unit has a filter,be int he lower grill, left side,or in back of fridge compartment.Hope this helps
