I have a Whirlpool side by side (model ED25PW). Ice maker stopped making ice. At first it was filling up not only the trays but the reserve area but now is not making any ice. Water dispenser is working fine. I tested the solenoids and get the same reading for the water and ice. I also flushed the line going into the ice maker and removed the silver tube inside and made sure it was not blocked. Still no ice. I have not been able to find the filter screen but the line is clear. What now??? Any advice would be appreciated.
If you are handy with a volt-ohmmeter, you can pull off the toe plate from the front bottom of the fridge and you should find a service sheet on the icemaker. It will be folded up and stuck in the back of the toeplate. If you pull off the front of the icemaker mechanism, there are test points accessable. If the fridge is fairly new, the little motor is probably toast.
