whirlpool fridge water dispenser dumps water every 15minutes

Bought a floor model whirlpool fridge from an appliance reseller. Manufacture date is 2013. Get the thing home and hook it up and everything seems fine. Then every 15minutes or so the water dispenser on the door shoots water out. Like theres a poltergeist trying to get water. Im amazed a new fridge could have an issue like this.

Its got a digital display on the water dispenser for the flitration and temp settings and all that

Model is: WRF560SEYWoo

Any help/ideas appreciated

I'd start by checking the incoming water pressure, to high or to low and it will cause the valve to malfunction.
Next I'd check the incoming power to the valve.

Does it have an icemaker? And if it does, is the icemaker making ice?

There should be two solenoid valves in the back where the water line connects. One supplies water to the ice maker, the other to the water dispenser.

Possibly either the wires that activate the valves or the water lines from the valves were reversed during assembly, when the ice maker is calling for water to fill, water shoots from the door dispenser.

Does the ice maker work correctly?
