What material wall vent to use?

Hi, I'm having my range hood installed and vented outside. It will be a 6" round vent to the outside. I do have the option of doing 7" via an adapter from the range hood manufacturer, but I'm thinking 6" is sufficient (4 burner only and the motor goes to ~640cfm).

Should I go 7"?

Also, for the outside (masonry), I prefer to have it rectangular, but the contractor who is doing the work says keep it round as my range is round. Makes it easier w/o using rectangular to circular adapter.

Any preferences here anyone?

I found these round base ones, but not sure which material is better?

I was going to spray paint it reddish color to match the brick exterior. Thanks.
