Water Leak in Maytag LA511,,,

I haven't narrowed the leak down yet.

I'm mainly concerned about electric safety. I can see water dropping on the electric engine. And water is at my feet. How dangerous is this?

Water Leak in Maytag LA511,,,

Safety issues aside, I'd not use any appliance that leaks. you would only be setting yourself up for other problems down the road, ie. floor damage, mold, etc.

You should pinpoint the leak and resolve. Until that time .. laundromat or a good friend/family member to sponge ( pun intended) off some washer time. I recently waited about a week for Maytag to send me a door seal for our front loader. (about 6 months out of warranty and they sent the seal gratis ... Thanks Maytag)
