water heater


my water heater has started making whistling noise when heating. what is wrong? is it safe?

If the sound is coming from inside the tank---you may have a lime build up in the bottom of the tank--

If the noise is from the gas valve or burner---you may be nearing failure of the valve--

Where is the whistling coming from?
