Washing machine wont drain, checked pump no visible obstruction

I have a Kenmore model 110 91210100 that no longer drains. When the machine gets to the part of the cycle were its supposed to drain the whole thing just stops. I dont hear any kind of noise of the drain pump trying to work, theres just nothing. Any ideas?

If it won't spin either if you advance timer manually to spin, most likely a faulty lid switch. The type used on this machine is prone to breaking apart. Can be glued back together, cinched with small tie wrap or just replaced. Part number is 3352634. You can temporarily bypass the switch as a test to see if this is the problem as per this video. Your switch type is second one in video.

Thanks. Ill see if I can check that.

So if the switch isnt bad it should go into spin cycle? Does it have to have water in it to go into spin cycle?

How much do you think a new switch should cost? I got one priced here in Jacksonville for $40.

Well.... That's the business.

You asked what I thought it should/ought to cost... that would be $5.

Had you asked what I thought it would cost, I'd have said 30.

Don't know your town or pocketbook.... but on appliance parts, spend 15 minutes on the phone and you'll probably find it for $10-15... probably accross town.

It's one of those limited items.

Or, jumper it if you're not worried about anyone putting their hand in a spinning WM.

I think the part number is 3352634 - and I saw it on Amazon for $10.

Jumper it to test, and maybe do a few loads, but definitely replace it if that is the issue.

Bought one of amazon for like $6.00.

At that price figure might as well just buy one throw it in there and see what happens.

This was the problem. When I went to put the new switch in I saw the old one had broke where the screws go in.

Put in new switch and works again.
