So my nearly 15 year old washing machine is acting up. There are two symptoms and I an wondering whether they are related. First, it is noisier than it used to be during the spin cycle. Not unbearably loud, but noticeably more than it used to be. At the same time, I am noticing water on the ground after washing. Is there a connection here?
Top loader. I don't see anything obviously wrong but opened it today to take a quick look. Like I said, it is shaking more than it used to. Perhaps it is old springs? How would one know anyway? Taking a look, they are a bit rusted and I can wiggle the tub fairly easily. But who know?
And if it is the springs, can I go buy them (may tag washer) or only order? Thanks.
