Washing Machine issues

ITs been having issues where it sounds like its out of balance on the spin cycle, really bad.

Now, it doesnt even spin. Is this possibly just a belt replacement issue?

Thanks!

could be a belt. some just have a plastic coupler on the motor that cracks. thats what happened to ours.

When the spin cycle still worked, it would shake pretty badly during the spin cycle. Like there was something missing that used to stabilize the basket during spinning.

make and model would sure be helpful

It is an RCA YBXR1060V1WW

I took the cover off, spun the motor pulley. Tried the spin cycle, and now it is spinning.

But it is still shaking, and LOUD during the spin cycle. Looks like there are stabilizing connections, not sure if these need to be tightened/adjusted.

Thanks for any help.

We had a Maytag that started shaking when spinning and real loud banging...turned out a chink of plastic had broken off that I guess kept the basket somewhat centered. Can't buy it anywhere, but a service repairman had us up and going in a week.

what do you mean by loud, does it sound like a bad bearing?

No, not a bearing. Just loud from the machine itself vibrating.

So, for the sake of clarity, it doesn't sound like a jet airplane, the noise is the thuds from the drum banging around?

I made a video. Vid Quality is not great, but notice how off center the spin is, with no load.

Reading up on this, it is drum the bearing isnt it?

Found a parts list online... Can anyone confirm which parts I need for this repair? From what I can tell, I need items 311, 313, & 314. Does that sound right?

You might want to have it checked in the service center. Is it still covered by the warranty?

no it is not.

Is there a way to confirm whether that is the issue? I posted a vid above.

pull the agt' and see if tub nut is loose-if so you have to pull basket and replace those parts-[instructions/tech sheet are in control area]-nut,split ring, washer. tightening won't last. can also just wiggle basket to see if loose.
