Washer Drain line extention

"We have a front load washer and dryer. They presently sit side by side in the laundry room. The washer is on the right and the dryer on the left. The doors open opposite of each other and reversing the doors is not an option. The question is this. Could I switch the locations of the units? The vent for the dryer is not an issue as I have access to the vent in the basement. What is of issue is the drain line for the washer. It is a wall mount on the wall adjacent to the present location of the washer. I estimate the distance from the connection point on the washer to the wall drain to be increased by 36 to 40 inches should we reverse the locations. Question; One, can the pump in the washer accommodate the increase in distance and two, should I extend the hose by adding the necessary length or are there longer hoses available?

Thank you in advance for your help,

you can extend the hose with no problems. These units are reversed from standard so do move them.
